Beautiful, multi-colored and intricate mosaic figures and panels were on display at the Learning Resources Center when we arrived on 1 September 2010.
At the entry doorway was a large red pomegranate. Other vases and totems (even a green prickly-pear cactus) were mounted elsewhere in the hall.

Some panels had traditional, even biblical, scenes.
Complementing bird panels and a peacock figure were impressive.
Animals were also portrayed -- some in pastoral settings.
Others were more aggressive -- like the leopard and cougar.
One depicted a famous recent historical figure. Another replicated the famous "Mona Lisa of Sephoris" that we saw on our first Galilee field trip.
Ornate embroidery or still-life flowers were depicted on some panels.
And there was even a mounted round zodiac.
We loved this exhibit -- and didn't want it to leave!
